Washington, DC - President Barack Obama, America's most famous pie lover, has not one but three favorite flavors of pie, according to White House Executive Pastry Chef Bill Yosses.
The President "is on the record as loving Huckleberry, Banana Cream, and Apple Pie," Yosses told Obama Foodorama during the holiday decor preview.

Yosses' recipe for White House Huckleberry Pie is bursting with two pounds of berries, has a hint of vanilla and cinnamon, and is sweetened with honey from the beehive on the White House grounds.
Yosses' recipe for White House Apple Pie uses both butter and lard for an extra-flaky crust, as well as two pounds of fruit and honey as the sweetener. In 2011, it was served as the desert for the President's State Dinner for then-President Hu Jintao of China.
Both pies feature double crusts. The President nicknamed Yosses "The Crustmaster" in 2009, thanks to his perfect, flaky pie crusts. And his boss would be happy just eating the crust, Yosses said during a Thanksgiving-themed White House Google+ Hangout.
"Really, my impression is if you just served the crust, he'd be okay," Yosses said.
Pie is served at all of the First Family's celebrations, the White House chefs have previously said, including for President Obama's birthday on August 4th. First Lady Michelle Obama is also a fan of Yosses' pies, and in an interview once billed them as "dangerously good."

The President doesn't just love White House pie: He's visited bakeries around the US to purchase pie, as well as eaten it during restaurant visits. His most recent pie run was on August 23rd, when he visited Bingham's Restaurant in Kingsley, Pennsylvania, and left with a Coconut Cream Pie, a Cherry Pie, and a Pecan Pie.
