The Senior Policy Advisor rivals the First Lady as best White House dancer as he grooves with veggie puppets and kids...
Newly minted Let's Move! Executive Director Sam Kass on Monday morning celebrated the 135th anniversary of the White house Easter Egg Roll as he took to the Storytime Stage on the South Lawn. Kass, who is also Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition Policy, joined veggie puppets The Super Sprowtz for some produce-promoting fun and games that included dancing with kids in the audience. Kass was clad in a suit and tie as he stood by the stage and chatted with the veggie characters at 10:00 AM, after Sprowtz character Colby Carrot informed the kids that he was "personally invited" to the Roll by President Obama.
"You know what I like to call him?" Colby Carrot asked the kids. "Broccoli Obama."
Before showing off his dance moves, Kass told the kids that his favorite vegetable is "Sammy Spinach," and his favorite place to "hang out" in the White House when he has time off is "definitely the First Lady's garden."
"It's right down there," Kass said, pointing to the bottom of the South Lawn. And then he started to groove...
More than 30,000 guests from all fifty states and the District visited the White House on Monday for the Let's Move!-centered Roll, which had the theme "Be Healthy, be Active, be You!"
