Travels with the First Lady: Mississippi, Chicago, Missouri...The White House on Friday released a second video about First Lady Michelle Obama's two-day tour celebrating the third anniversary of the Let's Move! campaign. Mrs. Obama's campaign turned three on Feb. 9, and she traveled to Clinton, MI; Chicago, Ill; and Springfield, MO; on Feb. 27-28 to celebrate. Above, Mrs. Obama and celebrity chef Rachael Ray during the tour, looking at the "golden tray" award for a school lunch cook-off in Mississippi that will be featured on Rachael Ray Show. The video was released ahead of Mrs. Obama's keynote address on Friday at Partnership for a Healthier America's second childhood obesity conference for the campaign, the Building a Healthier Future summit in Washington, DC. The two-day summit included the release of a progress report on the activity of Let's Move! private-sector partners. CLICK HERE for links to all third anniversary posts.
"To celebrate the third anniversary of Let's Move, First Lady Michelle Obama went on the road to meet people across the country who are making healthy change happen," noted the video description on the Let's Move! site.
"From a Cafeteria Cook-Off in Mississippi to a grocery store in Missouri, Mrs. Obama saw first hand how companies and communities are coming together to help our kids, and our families, eat healthy and get active. Plus she stopped in her hometown of Chicago for some recess with 6,500 schoolkids and some of America's most talented athletes."
