USDA's "Smart Snacks In School" Rule Now Open For Public Comment

Open for 60 days, beginning today...
The US Department of Agriculture last week unveiled its proposed rule for "Smart Snacks in School," as required by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act 2010, championed by First Lady Michelle Obama as the legislative centerpiece of the Let's Move! campaign.   The rule was published in the Federal Register on Friday afternoon, and is now open for a mandatory sixty-day public comment period, which closes on April 9, 2013.
