President Obama Will Mark 2012 Veterans Day With White House Breakfast, Visit To Arlington

As Americans across the nation observe Veterans Day on Sunday, President Obama and First Lady Obama will welcome veterans to the White House in the morning for a special breakfast.  Vice President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden will also attend the breakfast, which is closed to press.

After, the President will visit Arlington National Cemetery to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony and deliver remarks.  Mrs. Obama will join her husband, and the Vice President and Dr. Biden will also attend.  The President will speak at Arlington at 11:15 AM ET.

The First Lady and Dr. Biden co-lead Joining Forces, a national campaign to honor members of the military and their families, and veterans.

On Saturday, the President had no public events scheduled.  He played his first round of post-election golf at Andrews Air Force Base, spending close to 5/12 hours on the links with three White House aides: Eugene Kang, Joe Paulson and trip director Marvin Nicholson, according to a White House official.
