At Long Last, The Final Day On The Campaign Trail: President Obama's Schedule, Nov. 5, 2012

President finishes his battleground state blitz with rallies in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Iowa before heading to Chicago for Election Day...
Monday is President Obama's last day *ever* on his own personal campaign trail, and he'll be holding rallies in Madison, Wisconsin, and Columbus, Ohio, before finishing with a major rally in the streets of Des Moines, Iowa Above, the President in New Hampshire on Sunday, for what his campaign says was the largest rally in the state's history, with 14,000 people.

According to his spox, President Obama will culminate Monday in Des Moines because he wants to "finish" his battle for re-election back where it all started, in the crucial swing state where he achieved a major victory, winning the primary in 2008 over Hillary Clinton.  Joined by First Lady Michelle Obama, the President will speak to supporters at 9:50 PM local time, at the intersection of East 4th Street and East Locust Street.

The President spent Sunday night in Madison, WI, after a blitz through the battleground states of New Hampshire, Ohio, Florida, and Colorado. He finally arrived in Madison at 2:38 AM Central, 3:38 Eastern time, almost 19 hours after he departed the White House on Sunday morning.

The President's Monday begins with a rally at 10:45 AM local time on MLK Boulevard in Madison, where he'll be joined by Bruce Springsteen.  By 4:10 PM local time, the President will be in Columbus, Ohio, again with Springsteen and also joined by rap star and major fundraiser Jay-Z.  The rally will take place at the Nationwide Arena at 1701 Morse Road.  It happens to be right across the street from 1700 Morse Road, a vacant department store that is now doing double duty as a polling place that is open for early voting.  The campaign has in the past hired busses to transport early voters to polling locations, but this time, they can walk, dance or skip across the street to do their civic duty.

Then it's on to Des Moines for the President and Mrs. Obama to sing the campaign's swan song.  Springsteen will help the First Couple sing it; he's also appearing at the third event.  After the rally, the President and Mrs. Obama will fly to Chicago at 11:00 PM, where they will spend the night.

On Tuesday, the First Couple will spend the day in Chicago, ahead of what will ostensibly be a victory party in the evening.  The event will be held indoors at McCormick Place, with an expected crowd of about 10,000, far smaller than the 2008 victory party in Grant Park, where close to a quarter million people gathered.

The First Lady will fly to join her husband in Des Moines after attending rallies earlier on Monday in North Carolina and Florida.  Mrs. Obama will speak at 3:15 PM in Charlotte, and at 6:10 PM in Orlando.
