First Lady To Attend Fundraising Luncheon Hosted By Will Smith During Visit To Los Angeles

President Obama was in Los Angeles last week for a series of star-studded fundraisers that helped put about about $10 million in his campaign war chest, and First Lady Michelle Obama will visit next week for more gold gathering with celebs in the Golden State.

Mrs. Obama will attend a luncheon on Oct. 25th hosted by Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith at their mansion in Calabasas, located right outside Los Angeles.  Top ticket prices are $10,000 per couple, with $40,000 getting a donor and a companion lunch, a photo with Mrs. Obama, and an exclusive “meet-and-greet” preceding the meal. Actress Salma Hayak is also among the co-hosts.

Roc Nation co-founder Jay Brown and wife Kawanna, film producer James Lassiter and wife Mai, and Lady Gaga manager Troy Carter and wife Rebecca will also co-host the luncheon, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

On Oct. 26, Mrs. Obama will travel to La Jolla for a fundraiser hosted by Irwin Jacobs, the billionare co-founder of Qualcomm, and his wife Joan.

Mrs. Obama has visited Los Angeles in the past for fundraising.  The Smiths' young songstress daughter, Willow, performed at the 2010 White House Easter Egg Roll.

According to the link on the Obama campaign website, a $2,500-per-person contribution to the Obama Victory Fund gets less-flush donors into the Smith luncheon.
