First Lady Michelle Obama To Appear On Steve Harvey Show, Campaign In Swing States

First Lady Michelle Obama travels to her hometown of  Chicago on Thursday, where she will attend two campaign events and film Steve Harvey's daytime talk show.  On Friday, Mrs. Obama will make more stops on the campaign trail, visiting Iowa and Wisconsin for rallies, in keeping with OFA's tactic of deploying its most popular weapon in key battleground states with just five weeks until election day.

Harvey's show debuted earlier this month.  The NBC talker is taped before a live studio audience, and Mrs. Obama's episode will air on October 3.  The First Lady's outing is her latest on the daytime circuit; she appeared on ABC's The View this week, joined by President Obama.

“I’m so honored to welcome First Lady Michelle Obama to the set of my new daytime show," Harvey said.  "We’re a new show with just a few weeks on the air, so this means the world to me and my staff.”
