Social Secretary Bernard Parties In PTown

First Lady Michelle Obama sent a congratulatory message to her celebrity event planner Bryan Rafanelli as he marked his birthday this weekend in Provincetown, MA. Social Secretary Jeremy Bernard (l) actually showed up in person for the event, which local media described as 'a fantabulous 50th birthday bash,' held at Town Hall restaurant. The Boston-based designer leads Rafanelli Events, the firm responsible for making acid green and poppin' purple a standard palette for Obama State Dinners. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton also sent a birthday greeting; Rafanelli planned daughter Chelsea Clinton's "wedding of the century."

The Secretary's birthday greeting was via video, reported the Boston Herald's Inside Track. Her longtime aide, Huma Abedin and her husband, former US Rep. Anthony Weiner, were also among the 250 guests celebrating; Rafanelli designed their 2011 wedding.

"Guests were abuzz that White House social secretary Jeremy Bernard, another F.O.B. client, was in the house. 'It was really the event of the year down here,' said Someone Who Was There," noted Inside Track.
