Kass' outing was in part to celebrate the newly launched Gardening Guide on the LetsMove.gov website. It's "dedicated to helping schools, communities and families start gardens" just like First Lady Michelle Obama's White House Kitchen Garden. It includes handy tips, a checklist for schools, communities and kitchens; the layout for the Kitchen Garden (download it here); White House videos, and links to projects such as the USDA's People's Garden initiative.
