President Obama To Keynote APAICS Gala Dinner

President Obama will deliver the keynote address on Tuesday evening at the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies 18th Annual Gala Awards Dinner in Washington, DC. The President will speak at 5:55 PM at the Ritz-Carlton hotel. By Presidential Proclamation, May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.

Earlier on Tuesday, the President will travel to Albany, New York, to visit the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering’s Albany NanoTech Complex at the State University of New York for an event on the economy.

At the Gala, Community Leadership Awards will be presented to Floyd Mori, National Executive Director Japanese American Citizens League; Karen Narasaki, Past President and Executive Director Asian American Justice Center; and The National Council of Asian Pacific Americans. The Corporate Achievement Award will be presented to C.C. Yin, McDonald’s Owner/Operator, founder of API American Public Affairs Association and co-founder of Asian McDonald’s Operators Association.
