When First Lady Michelle Obama traveled to New York on Wednesday to appear on The Colbert Report, host Stephen Colbert devoted his entire show to the Joining Forces campaign, but first told his audience that it could only mean one thing.
"Mrs. Obama is here to mark the first anniversary of Joining Forces, the program she launched with Dr. Jill Biden to support our military families, " Colbert said. "And since...this is now the First Lady's focus, it can mean only one thing: Child obesity is solved."
The comic got wild cheers as he finished: "Kids, go to town on that Oreo pizza. It's good for you!"
Colbert liked his joke about the Let's Move! campaign and Oreo pizza so much that he Tweeted about it. "Since @MichelleObama's big focus is military families, child obesity must be solved," Colbert wrote on @ColbertReport.
