Video: First Family Reads On The Storytime Stage

After officially welcoming guests to the 2011 White House Easter Egg Roll, the First Family, accompanied by First Dog Bo, hit the Storytime Stage, which is in the middle of the South Lawn.

President Obama had some help with Maurice Sendak's Where The Wild Things Are: Daughters Malia and Sasha took turns reading parts of the books to a gang of excited kids, many clad in their Easter finery. The President has said he loved the book as a boy.

"It's one of my classic favorite books of all time," he told the Easter Egg Roll crowd.

The President and First Lady Michelle Obama then alternated reading “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom,” which he said they had read to the girls back when they could fit on their laps. It’s a fanciful tale about the letters of the alphabet.
