The Michelle Obama Happy Meal Gets Created

Can McDonald's exist in a Let's Move! world?
The photo above was posted this morning at Ka-Ching. Seems likely the scribe responsible for the caption meant to write "No Child Left With A Big Behind," which is how Jay Leno referred to the First Lady's Let's Move! campaign during his semi-funny tour-de-farce at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.

Despite its corporate efforts at improving the nutritional quality of its meals, McDonald's food is still widely regarded as unhealthy. The Board of Supervisors in Santa Clara County, CA, recently banned toy giveaways at fast food restaurants that don't meet the Board's nutrition guidelines, which was perceived as a direct attack on McDonald's. But hey, Let's Move! is all about local, grassroots action on child health that's tweaked to fit each community, in what the White House refers to--hilariously, in this context--as a "Bottom Up" strategy. So the Santa Clara Supervisors have inadvertently joined Let's Move!.

Another recent bit of Obama McDonald's Foodie "Homage" is here. Again, McDonald's comes off looking bad, as does President Obama.
